# Energy tariffs: the hall of shame

##  Here are some of the most expensive energy deals.

Industry experts named the following as some of the worst energy deals on the
market.

**Utilita**'s standard tariff costs a typical customer **£1,501** a year. One
source said: "You earn PlanetPoints for energy efficiency products but
still..."

**Utility Warehouse**'s standard tariff costs **£1,203** for a medium user.
"If bundled with other products it can be cheaper but, as a stand-alone,
Utility Warehouse is not cheap," the source said.

**Ebico**'s standard tariff costs **£1,266 **a year for a typical customer.
"This is a charitable company but it is very expensive for customers paying by
monthly direct debit," the expert added.
