# Barack Obama 'comes home' to Ireland

##  Barack Obama addressed a large crowd in Dublin, saying that he had "come
home" after earlier visiting Moneygall where one of his distant relatives had
once lived.

The American President jokingly told the 60,000 strong crowd outside College
Green in Dublin that he had returned to Ireland to find the missing apostrophe
from his name.

He said: "Hello Dublin. Hello Ireland. My name is Barack Obama, of the
Moneygall Obamas, and I've come home to find the apostrophe that we lost
somewhere along the way.

"Someone once said broken Irish is better than clever English. So here goes;
Ta athas orm le bheith in Éireann - I am happy to be in Ireland."
