# Zara Phillips chases London 2012 Olympic glory
|

## Zara Phillips says taking part in London 2012 would be a massive dream come
|
|
true and hopes people from all over the UK will come and watch the games.

The Queen's granddaughter is pinning her hopes on two horses - High Kingdom
|
|
and Lord Lauries - to try and get her to the equestrian competition at the
|
|
London 2012 Olympics.
|
|
|
|
"I probably have two horses at the moment that I would say have the best
|
|
chance of going, or have the capability of going," she said.
|
|
|
|
"They are both very good at all three disciplines which is what you need for
|
|
the sport."
|
|
|
|
Phillips is looking for similar success to that which she enjoyed with her
|
|
ride Toytown, with whom she won the European and world titles in 2005 and
|
|
2006.
|
|
|
|
"It is very much a partnership sport so you have to work on everything
|
|
together to get the job done, that would be the most important way of looking
|
|
for the right horse."
|
|
|
|
A last-minute injury to Toytown robbed her of the chance of competing at the
|
|
2008 Olympics, where she had already qualified as part of the GB eventing
|
|
line-up. It means that Phillips, a UK Olympic ambassador for Samsung, is now
|
|
hoping to make her Olympic debut on home soil.
|
|
|
|
"I train seven days a week and there are competitions every weekend all the
|
|
way from March through to October. it's a lot of hard work.
|
|
|
|
"Taking part in London would be a massive dream for me personally, the
|
|
pinnacle of my career because everyone wants to go to the Olympics in every
|
|
sport so it would be a massive honour."
