# Five-Minute Food: Spicy Thai tom yam soup
## This version of the classic Thai broth isn't authentic, but it is sinus
clearingly hot and sour, perfect to shake off a cold or just the winter blues.
It's also delicious cold in the summer, if it ever arrives. If you need some
carbs, then microwave a pouch of ready cooked rice to eat alongside.

**Serves 1-2**
* 2 11floz/300ml tubs of chicken stock
* 2 limes
* 1 hot red chilli
* 1 spring onion
* 2 tbsp nam pla (Thai fish sauce)
* A few fat, raw peeled prawns
* 4 sprigs of coriander
Bring the stock to the boil and squeeze in both limes.
Slice the chilli and spring onion and add them too, along with the fish sauce.
Stir in the prawns, if you are using them, and as soon as they are pink and
opaque, take off the heat.
Rip in the coriander leaves and serve.
