With the Beatles back catalogue available on iTunes, it will be simple to
download only the tracks you really want. Just think, 'Abbey Road' without
_Octopus's Garden_, that's what I call a masterpiece! So what would be the
greatest Beatles compilation album ever? I haven't gone for a Greatest Hits
and I have, inevitably, been forced to overlook much loved songs of undeniable
genius (and yes, I am already considering posting comments disagreeing with
myself) but here's my personal selection from every corner of the catalogue, a
Fab Fourteen tracks that flow together to show the musical breadth, emotional
depth, structural daring, wit, invention and sheer sonic majesty of the
greatest band in the history of popular music history. This is my Beatles
album, what's yours?

Monumental Ringo drumming drives this ominous rocker of thwarted desire, heavy

as you could get before heavy metal.
