debate the Government's proposed reforms of the NHS in the House of Commons.

Mr Lansley accused Mr Healey of using the debate to focus on politics and not
|
|
what is best for the NHS.
|
|
|
|
"I intend to use this debate to be positive,' explained the Health Secretary,
|
|
'to show how we will give the NHS a stronger future."
|
|
|
|
Making reference to comments made by Nick Clegg, Mr Healey said he agreed with
|
|
the Deputy Prime Minster that 'no bill was better than a bad one' and insisted
|
|
the Health and Social Care Bill be 'shelved in its current form and radical
|
|
changes (must) be made."
|
|
|
|
The legislative process for the bill was 'paused' last month by David Cameron
|
|
in the face of much criticism within the NHS.
