Gooch has instilled a new-found confidence in the England batting line-up,
|
|
highlighted by Kevin Pietersen's brilliant 213 not out by stumps on day three
|
|
of the second Test in Adelaide.
|
|
|
|
And the secret of Gooch's success? The former England international's new toy
|
|
is the dog thrower, or "sidearm" as Gooch prefers it to be known, and enables
|
|
throw-downs at net sessions to be almost as hostile as being out in the
|
|
middle.
