The pop star fuelled excitement in Cannes on Wednesday as she put in a
|
|
surprise appearance for fans gathered at the world's biggest film festival.
|
|
|
|
The 25-year-old wore a black lace outfit with a red headscarf as she performed
|
|
on the waterfront as the official festival launched in the background.
|
|
|
|
Rumours of a possible Gaga showing had circulated for days, but it was unclear
|
|
whether she would appear until fans spotted her at the rehearsal earlier in
|
|
the day.
|
|
|
|
The **[Cannes Film Festival][3]**, which ends on May 22, boasts an impressive
|
|
roll call of major actors as well as showbiz stars and newcomers hoping to
|
|
make an impact on the 4,000-strong press pack in the glamorous Riviera resort.
