Jia Ashton was last seen as she left the Thorntons chocolate factory, where
she worked, at 5.08pm on Thursday, March 10. She walked along a path known
locally as the Yellow Brick Road and her body was found three days later,
dumped in Sleetmoor Woods, in Alfreton, Derbyshire.
Police have issued e-fits of two men seen in the woods between 4pm and 7pm on
the day Mrs Ashton went missing. The first is of a man with stubble, wearing a
beanie hat and khaki jacket and carrying a satchel. The second man was wearing
khaki trousers and a red hooded top.
Det Chf Supt Steve Cotterill, of Derbyshire Police, said that the men, who
were not together, were not necessarily suspects, but had yet to come forward
despite a previous appeal. He said: "We are anxious to speak to them in case
they have information which could help with the inquiry. I would urge these
men to get in touch with us.
"They could have been in Sleetmoor Woods for a genuine reason but have been
reluctant to come forward because of the nature of our investigation.
"They should come forward to eliminate themselves from inquiries and trust
that they can speak to us in confidence."

without charge. He is no longer a suspect.
