# About Bupa Care Homes
|

## Bupa care homes offer the highest standards to those in our care. We use
|
|
our experience and knowledge to ensure that each resident, their families and
|
|
friends, are treated as individuals at all times.

**Quality of care**
|

We believe that older people should be cared for with dignity and respect. We
|
|
aim to provide the highest standards of care and service for our residents and
|
|
to use our experience and knowledge to ensure that each resident, their
|
|
families and friends are treated as individuals at all times.
|
|
|
|
Since 1999 we have carried out an annual survey with residents and/or their
|
|
families in order to review the services we offer. It helps us to identify
|
|
opportunities for improvement and also to recognise what we are doing well.

**Activities**
|
|
|
|
Everybody enjoys different activities and, wherever possible, we encourage
|
|
each resident to continue to do the kind of things they did before moving.
|
|
Bupa care homes provide regular and appropriate activities, which have many
|
|
benefits to our residents and are a vital element of an effective care plan.
|
|
Our residents need to be stimulated and feel engaged on a daily basis just
|
|
like we do. Every Bupa care home has a dedicated activity co-ordinator who
|
|
organises daily and weekly activities, as well as special themed events.

**Food and Nutrition**
|
|
|
|
Tasty, healthy meals are important, and so our chefs take pride in offering a
|
|
choice of balanced, nutritious meals every day. They use fresh, quality
|
|
ingredients, to meet all our residents' preferences including any specific
|
|
dietary requirements.
|

**Awards**
|
|
|
|
Bupa Care Homes has won a number of awards, reflecting its success in
|
|
providing high quality, individual care for its residents. Fittingly, in view
|
|
of the organisation's determination to focus on the individual care provided
|
|
by all care home staff, many of these honours have gone to individual staff
|
|
who go that extra mile.
