|

• Pain after exercise, a strain, in stressful situations and especially in the

|
cold weather.

• Palpitations or shortness of breath during light activity
|
|

• Fainting

Cardiovascular disease can be preventable. Try and persuade the man in your
|
|
life to take action to live a longer life together!
|
|
|
|
• Stop smoking
|
|
|
|
• Take 30 minutes of physical activity a day
|
|
|
|
• Eat a healthy, balanced diet including five portions of fruit and vegetables
|
|
a day
|
|
|
|
• Cut down on saturated fat
|
|
|
|
• Maintain a healthy weight
|
|
|
|
• Drink the recommended amount of alcohol or less
|
|
|
|
• Get his blood pressure and cholesterol level checked and treated if
|
|
necessary
|
|
|
|
• Keep stress levels under control
|
|
|
|
• Know the family history
|
|
