Mr Bryant said a [**Conservative**][2] member of staff had removed details of
the far-right past of Polish MEP Michal Kaminski, who leads the Tories' new
grouping in Europe.
Information about Mr Kaminski's previous membership of the National Revival of
Poland party was removed from [**Wikipedia**][3] by someone using a House of
Commons computer just three days after the alliance was formed, according to
_The Observer. _
In a letter to Tory Party chair Eric Pickles, Mr Bryant said there should be
no ''airbrushing of the facts''.
He wrote: ''This is not the first time Conservative Party staff have been
caught massaging Wikipedia entries - when David Cameron made a gaffe about
Titian's age at PMQs earlier this year, Conservative Party staff went on to
Wikipedia to rewrite his date of birth and death.
''You have been very clear that if 'anybody does any dirty tricks from our
side, we will sack them'.
''I hope you will investigate this matter urgently. It is vital that we have a
clear and open debate about Britain's position in Europe, without airbrushing
out any of the facts, no matter how inconvenient they might be for the
Conservative Party.''
In February, the Tories admitted that an ''over-eager'' member of staff had
altered a Wikipedia entry on the artist Titian, following an exchange between
Mr Cameron and Gordon Brown during Prime Minister's Questions.
