Chat

As of version 3.0.0 you can chat with other users in the network. 1:1 chats with text messages including emojis are possible.

How to start a chat

To chat with a user, you have two options:

a) Chat button in the header

Hit the My chats button in the header to go to the main chat page.
Hit the + sign, enter the username or profile name of the user in question and select the user from the list.
Enter your chat message (up to 2000 characters) in the Type message field and hit the Send button on the far right.

b) User's profile page

Go to the user's profile page.
Hit the Chat button to open the side chat pane.
Enter your chat message in the Type message field and hit the Send button on the far right.

Chat views

Chat main page

On the chat main page you will find all chats with your chat partners. Here you can filter by chat partner/room, start a new chat (see above) or siding/showing the list of chat rooms.

Chat side pane

This pane is only for chatting with a single chat partner. You can enlarge the window by selecting the corresponding button (= switch to the chat main page) or close it.

You will be notified in the network as well as by email unless email notifications are deactivated in the settings of your user account.
