Notifications

You can get notified in two ways:

in the network
by email

When do you get a notification?

Posts and comments
- for new comments in a post that you observe
- if someone menioned you
- for new posts of users you follow
- for new posts in one of your groups if not muted
Chat
- for new chat messages while absent
Groups
- for group owners: if a user joins or leaves the group
- if you get invited to a group
- if you get removed from a group
- if your role in the group changed

Viewing your notifications

If you have unread messages the bell or chat icon in the page header shows the number of unread messages. Select the icon to view your notifications.

After selecting the bell icon the list of notification is shown. Select one of them to view the respective post or comment, or select All notifications to open the notifications page. There you can filter the notifications by read and unread or mark all as read.

Notification settings

Configure notifications by email in the settings of your user account.

You can also activate and deactivate notifications (chat and email) individually:

for new comments in posts: observe button
for new posts of users you follow: mute or no longer follow them.
for new posts in your groups: menu item (⋮) on the group page
